Dr. Suresh Vatsyayann is a registered medical practitioner, living and working in Hamilton, New Zealand. He was born into a family of Brahmin practicing priests in Saddun, India. He graduated with an MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) from Indira Gandhi Medical College, Simla from Himachal Pradesh University in 1972. He was awarded an FCGP (Fellow of the College of General Practitioners) in 1982 from the Indian Medical Association College of General Practitioners and a DNB (Diplomate of the National Board) in Family Medicine in 1984 from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, India.
After coming to New Zealand, he graduated MBA with distinction in 1996 and then BSocSci Honors with first class honors in Health Development and Policy in 1997 from Waikato University. Later he achieved specialist status as a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners in 2004 to mention a few.
During Taumarunui in 2002 and 2003, he went to help to the geographically isolated and neglected people who were in dire need of General Practitioners (GPs) to look after their and their children’s day to day health and well being. Besides, he currently provides free GP services for all noninsured New Zealanders in his practice.
He has presented in national and international forum on subjects like philosophy of life and health, urology, surgery, medicine, pediatrics, health services, communication, strategic management, and community health and general practice. He can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org
